Barbados’s surf culture relies on waves 300 days per year. This consistency is due to our geographical location. If you look at a map of the Caribbean, all of the other islands stay relatively within the dotted line that arches south from the West Indies to the Grenadines, providing shelter from the Bahamas down to Grenada. Barbados, alternately, appears to be jutting out to sea and totally exposed. Year round waves can be typically found on either the North, East, South or West coast.
